Awful customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Spent $1299.99 5 years ago on a Polaris pool cleaner. It stopped working and was determined it needed a motor replacement that would cost $1200.00 - basically the cost of a new machine.

Called Fluidra customer service to ask if there is anyone that can confirm if this quote is good and that I am not being taken advantage of. Their first response was, we cannot answer that and when I pushed to speak to someone that could answer, I was told that actually yes, that quote makes sense. I replied that it doesnt make sense to me that after 5 years I have to buy new pool cleaner and told them that I will never buy a Polaris again.

I dont appreciate spending $1299.99 for a machine that i have to dispose of in 5 years. i might as well get one for half the price and expect it to only last 5 years.

Botton line, I will never buy a Polaris again!

Doesn’t honor warranty

Fluidra - Doesn’t honor warranty
Fluidra - Doesn’t honor warranty - Image 2

In Feb 2023 I had a new Jandy JXI pool heater installed with my new pool. 1 year later I noticed a leak which we subsequently identified as coming from the heater.

I contacted the warranty company for Jandy- Fluidra who ultimately decided the pool heater failed because of improper pool water chemistry. This is my 3rd pool. This new pool is now just 13 months old. We werent even allowed to put chemicals into the pool until sometime April 2024 to allow the pebble finish to cure.

I am a nurse and an experienced pool owner. My pool builder extended my equipment warranty to 3 years. Fluidra does not stand behind the Jandy name nor do they honor their warranty. Their solution is for me to buy another 5000$ pool heater.

I will NEVER EVER recommend or buy another Jandy product. From the first phone call I was warned they would try to blame it on water chemistry.

My pool servicing provider warned me as well. BUYER BEWARE!!!

If you had problems after the warranty even 1 day it is on you. The installer can not extend the factory warranty. It is hard to find the warranty, but I have seen some companies with less than 1 year.

The original warranty is still active from the manufacturer. It has not expired.

Not satisfied at all

This issue can't be resolved according to the company. There new software is so designed that the heat pump never runs at less than 50%, which means it's too loud.

It's a pity that the company which installed this heat pump for us on Lanzarote used a heat pump from this company. It's also a pity that I can't give this company a review on Google. It wouldn't get many stars.

Original review Jun 30, 2024

Here's the last email from Fluidra:

I was waiting for an answer from the Quality Team, and I sent them a reminder when you wrote your last email.

Here is their response:

A Z550iQ MD8 is an R410A version, so the logic of the inverter in silent mode is to reduce speed by 50%.

Thus, the heat pump reduces speeds, but not as much as on R32 units (serial numbers starting with DREC0)

So, after more than six months of sending emails back and forth, we discover that this system will never run at a slow speed, so it's always making too much noise.

The user manual we received states something completely different.

Poor answering service system

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Being on long hold is often symptomatic in today's world of lousy customer service, but Fluidra has brought a new low to the state of customer service response levels. After waiting 20 minutes for a response , then hearing I was only 3 minutes away from an agent, is waited 5 minutes and was then told it would be 9 minutes to an agent.

After another 5 minutes it was 15 minutes and after another 5 min wait time to an agent became 18 minutes. So the longer you wait, the longer your wait time becomes. As I said, a new industry first in poor customer service.

As I'm writing this an agent finally picked up after 35 minutes. I asked what notifications does aqua link have to notify the owner of malfunctions of the pool equipment .

His answer was that its has none. So Fluidra sells aqua link devices to remotely control pool equipment, but their interface app cant notify you of the condition of what it's monitoring unless you log in and check for yourself.

Warranty Claim

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Fluidra Warranty is Abysmal

I have been waiting for nearly 4 weeks for a Zodiac pool cleaner to be repaired under warranty. I have tried to be accommodating and even took the unit to the local Zodiac dealer rather than have a technician come out to assess and repair it.

The part required has a 1 - 4 week wait on delivery as its "out of stock".

That means there are a lot of warramty claims or they just do not carry adequate stock. Service is abysmal so I would NEVER buy a Zodiac cleaner again.

Since Russia has invaded Ukraine, PissedConsumer.com cant stay aside. With this review, we present our teams opinion only - nothing more than that.

We as an organization always defend the freedom of speech by providing a platform for consumers to voice their opinions and to talk about any problems they may have with various businesses.

Today, we want to give voice to the tragedy of the people of Ukraine and let the world know the truth.

A lot of major companies suspended their business in russia not to support the war.

However, there are still large international corporations that continue operating and paying taxes in russia.

Taxes that are used to finance the army of the aggressor. With this video, we want to show the consequences of such a decision for civilians in Ukraine and ask these companies to stop doing business in russia.

Faulty Fluidra equipment - 0/5 customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Installed a Fluidra Zodiac brand pool system. It lasted 2 years.

Extremely expensive. Customer service is non -existent.

Had to buy a replacement costing $$$$.

Discovered that Fluidra is a large multinational company with 0 interest in the quality of products that it sells. It just sources the cheapest crap it can find.
